Temperature Control

For optimal performance, the SATPRO should not operate under extreme temperatures, ideally between >5ºC and <45ºC. The SATPRO is equipped with soft thermal insulation. The temperature is constantly monitored and can be viewed at the top of the graph.

To control the internal temperature, the SATPRO is equipped with an external air intake fan with a filter and an internal fan to stabilize the temperature across different zones of the SATPRO.

Adjusting Fan Activation Temperature:

  • You can adjust the temperature at which the fan activates using the FAN parameter. Suitable values can range from 25ºC to 35ºC.
    • To prevent the fan from ever turning on, set the temperature to 80ºC, for example.
    • Conversely, if you need the fan to be always on, lower the temperature to 0ºC.
    • The activation of the fan can be seen with an LED-like square indicator: gray when off and green when activated.

Internal Heating:

  • The SATPRO also features internal heating. The standard heater is 20W to avoid excessive battery consumption, increasing power consumption from 0.46A at rest to 1.75A when active.
    • You can adjust the temperature below which the heater will activate using the HEAT parameter. By default, it is set to 5ºC, but you can lower it to 0ºC to save battery.
    • To prevent the heater from ever turning on, lower the temperature to -50ºC.
    • To keep the heater always on, raise the temperature to 50ºC.
    • The activation of the heater can also be seen with an LED-like square indicator: gray when off and green when activated.
